I remember having scented markers way back 15-20 years ago, although what stands out most in my memory is the discovery that turquoise blue is my all-time favorite color. I don’t really member smelling the markers. These days, however, it’s not really a good idea to encourage children, or anyone else, to sniff their markers.
Apparently scented pens are in again. There are currently three brands of scented pens available in the USA via JetPens – Uni-ball, Zebra, and Dong-A Miffy. [I’m sorry, but Dong-A Miffy scented pens? Er…] And there’s also rose red scented ink by J. Herbin.
There’s only one serious reason I wouldn’t consider buying scented pens – Uni-ball and Zebra’s offerings don’t seem to be available with fine 0.5mm tips. I’d pass on the flower-scented pens, but fruit or candy-scented? I could go for that.

I wonder what generic “soap” smells like.
