So it looks like Amazon is releasing two new Kindle e-book readers. These products have caught my interest before, but the price was never all that great. Both Kindles offer better contrast than before and are smaller and lighter than previous generations. The 3G version that allows one to purchase and sync books from anywhere is $189, but a new Wi-Fi-only version is only $139.
$139? Now you’ve got my attention! How would I use a Kindle? To read books of course! BUT, it also has PDF reading functionality. Theoretically, this means that I’d be able to carry service and instructional manuals around with me wherever I go. Until Android tablets start popping up, this may be just what I need.
